Tile profiles

Tile profiles or tile tracks can also be called tile edge protection, which are used for the decorative design of various joints. The tile profiles are mostly installed to protect end edges, since so-called end profiles can prevent possible damage. This also largely prevents mechanical influences. The tile profiles or tile rails also allow a separation of two different types of coverings by pure decoration. Joints of different widths can also be separated by using the tile profiles. The floor profiles, which are also available in the form of stair edges and even LED profiles, are available in various materials, colors and shapes.

Tile profiles and floor profiles - you need to know that!

Tile rails, floor profiles and tile profiles, for example in the form of stair edges, create clean and beautiful transitions and finishes between different rooms or different types of floors. Different floor profiles can be bought, which can also connect floors that are not the same height and thus compensate. The quality of tile tracks and floor profiles is extremely important when you decide to buy. Professional floor profiles can usually be recognized by the fact that they consist of an upper and a lower rail. When installing the tile rails and tile profiles, it is important that you screw the bottom rail into the screed first. For this, holes are simply drilled in the screed, which are fitted with dowels, in order to then screw the rail onto the floor. It is also possible to glue the bottom rail with a really powerful adhesive especially for mounting on the respective surface. The floor covering is then laid and then the top rail is screwed or clicked into place. In addition to the professional type of floor profiles, you can also opt for simple variants. These tile profiles consist only of simple rails, which are either glued to the surface or screwed to the floor. Suitable holes are drilled beforehand, dowels are countersunk in them and the screw is fastened. However, the heads of the screws remain visible, which can be optically disadvantageous. Plastic screws can also fasten the simple end profiles or stair edges in the screed. With this method of attachment, however, it often happens that the assembly is very difficult because the plastic screws can easily break off.

End profiles for a special look

End profiles are used to cleanly finish floor coverings. These floor profiles for finishing floor coverings enable clean transitions and finishes. In addition, end profiles can also compensate for height differences and permanently protect edges. Stable materials ensure safe and uncomplicated installation. These profiles for the ends can be glued or screwed. This type of tile profile can be installed quickly and easily in various designs, for example in aluminum or brass sheathing.

Protection and security through stair nosing

With stair nosing profiles, coverings can be attached to steps - no matter which staircase is involved. The assembly is usually straightforward and without problems. In addition, resilience and security are important factors here. The special stair nosing can often be reused and is therefore mobile when moving house or correction work.
